We have an exciting opportunity for a veterinary surgeon to work between a well equipped surgery and RCVS accredited hospital. You'd be working alongside a great team, all with varied interests.
The team see a wide and varied caseload, more than just your typical GP surgeries - ideal for your development and exposure. There is also an opportunity to work towards a certificate if wanted.
The have their own dedicated night team so inpatients are kept in house, and all bank holiday and on call is covered by them. So you can enjoy a 4 day week along with only Saturday mornings on a rota basis. (There is some extra ECC shifts available for anyone who might be interested in this)
They offer some referral services on site and have visiting specialists so the equipment is top-notch and includes the likes of:
- Radioactive iodine unit
- 4 fully equipped theatres
- Full orthopaedic kit including TPLO and TTA plates
- Lap spay kit
- Ultrasound and Echocardiography at each site
- EPOC, lactate, blood/plasma storage site for pet blood bank
- Video assisted bronchoscopy/endoscopy
- DR X-ray system
- Elixir kit for toxicology emergencies
- Separate dog/cat kennels and large well equipped isolation facilities
- Full equipped onsite lab, including endocrine testing
The salary on offer is up to £70,000, depending on experience, along with a strong benefits package.
