We at Lloyd & Cowan are delighted to be working with a practice who have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.
Ideally, they’re looking for someone to cover their main site, as well as their other branches located around the Pembrokeshire Coastline. Typically, you will be based at Haverfordwest with the occasion to work from their other two locations.
Rota:
Their normal working day runs from 8:30am - 5:30pm, Monday – Friday, with an hour lunchbreak. Saturdays are 8:30am - 1:30pm covered on a rotational basis . They offer alterative external services for their clients for their Out of hours provision with their Vets where necessary offer supportive In Patient Care. They would welcome full and part time applicants and consideration for Job Share is also optional.
About them:
Their main small animal surgery in Haverfordwest offers surgery, dentistry, internal laboratory, ultrasound, radiography, and endoscopy.
Their other branch has a unique facility Vet Led base offering their aquatic treadmill for hydrotherapy delivered by qualified hydrotherapy specialists including acupuncture. This is also where their rehab/physio team are based. They also have an internal laboratory, dentistry, and surgical facilities at this site with use of laser in both sites.
They are a team of 9 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Nurses and 3 Animal Nursing Assistants. They also have a Practice Manager, Reception Co Ordinator and Reception Support Team. They have an advanced practitioner in Small Animal Surgery who performs their advanced surgeries once weekly allowing the Vet Team to deal with orthopaedic work and complex soft tissue surgery in house.
Salary:
Salary up to £65,000 DOE, plus Relocation Allowance up to £3,000
