We are delighted to have this great position with an impressive Independently owned hospital based in South England. As well as specialising in animal cancers, the clinic is highly skilled and experts in soft-tissue surgery, internal medicine, anaesthesia, pain management and radiology.

You would be joining the leading centre in Europe for interventional procedures, offering innovative solutions for strictures, vascular anomalies and cancer.

About the Role:

We are looking for an ECVAA/ACVAA Diplomate or board eligible Diplomate to join and complement the existing team. The current anaesthesia team presently consists of one ECVAA Diplomate and one ECVAA board eligible Diplomate working alongside
a dedicated anaesthesia intern and a team of experienced and motivated referral nurses.

The anaesthesia team works alongside specialist in these disciplines to ensure excellent patient care and outcome. The hospital provides an interesting and varied caseload involving secondary and tertiary referral cases.

You will have a high exposure to complex soft tissue oncological cases such as adrenalectomies, liver lobectomies, vascular surgery and pneumonectomies as well as innovative interventional radiology cases
including embolisation, stenting and other ablation therapies. Plans exist to introduce radiation oncology soon.

The Practice:
The hospital is a purpose-built referral hospital located in Surrey, with excellent road and rail access into London, close proximity to multiple airports and less than an hour away from the south coast.

The hospital contains four large state-of-the-art theatres exposed to natural light, a large prep area, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, an advanced ultrasound machine for locoregional anaesthesia, a 160 slice CT scanner and a Cell Saver unit facilitating intra-operative blood transfusions.

Hours: This is a full-time (4 days/week) role but part-time arrangements will be considered. There is no formal on-call requirement but occasional telephone advice may be sought.
