Registered Veterinary Nurse
South East London
Salary from £30,000 DOE | Full Time | No OOH
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a warm, welcoming small animal practice in a fantastic London location. This is a great role for an RVN who enjoys being hands-on, values teamwork, and wants to work in a practice where nurses are genuinely central to patient care.
The Practice
This is a locally owned, purpose-built small animal practice with the backing and stability of a larger organisation. Located in South East London with excellent transport links, the practice benefits from a loyal and largely insured client base, offering a varied and interesting caseload on a daily basis.
You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive team made up of 4 vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN, 2 VCAs and a dedicated reception team. Around 60% of clients are insured, allowing the team to work cases up properly and maintain high clinical standards. The practice is modern, busy, and well equipped to industry-leading standards.
The Role
This is a full-time, permanent position with a strong focus on work-life balance. There are no out-of-hours requirements, and weekends are limited to 1 in 4 Saturdays only (9am–6pm).
You’ll be involved in all aspects of the RVN role, including anaesthesia, inpatient care, nurse consults, imaging, theatre work, Schedule 3 procedures, and post-operative care. There is a real emphasis on gold-standard nursing, teamwork, and clear communication throughout the practice.
Although there is a dedicated reception team, nurses regularly carry out consultations and liaise with clients, so confidence and good people skills are important.
About You
Applications are welcomed from experienced RVNs as well as confident newly qualified nurses. You’ll enjoy variety in your role, take pride in delivering high standards of care, and feel comfortable contributing as part of a close-knit team.
An interest in learning more about how a practice operates as a business, and supporting team development, is welcomed but not essential.
