Overview
An independent small animal hospital is seeking a mid-level Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly team. The caseload is approximately seventy five percent dogs and cats and twenty five percent exotics. Exotics patients are managed by the in-house exotics team, so exotics experience is not required. This role suits a clinician with around five years’ experience who enjoys a balance of consulting and surgery and wants clinical ownership with day to day support.
The role
- First opinion small animal work across consulting, case work ups and inpatient care
- Routine and elective surgery with time protected for theatre lists
- Collaborative approach with experienced colleagues and nursing support
- Single site in Palmerstown with a new practice planned in the next six to twelve months
Schedule
- Full time at thirty six hours per week
- Working pattern flexible such as four days or five days by agreement
- Weekend rota shared. No routine out of hours on site
You
- Approximately three to six years post graduation or equivalent experience
- Confident with routine and elective surgery and day one diagnostics
- Clear communicator who enjoys team based care and client relationships
- VCI registered or eligible to register
Package
- Salary dependent on experience, up to €75k
