Are You an Experienced Veterinary Surgeon Ready to Earn up to £100,000 While Practising Medicine the Right Way?

I’m working with a genuinely exceptional opportunity for an Experienced Veterinary Surgeon who wants more than just a job. This is a role designed for vets who value clinical freedom, strong teamwork, and being properly rewarded for their experience.

This is a practice where decisions are made by clinicians, standards are high, and the team genuinely enjoys working together. If you’re looking for a position that offers autonomy, variety, and long-term satisfaction, this one really deserves your attention.

The opportunity
You’ll be joining a close-knit, collaborative team made up of experienced vets, skilled nurses, and excellent support staff. The culture here is supportive and progressive, with regular clinical discussions, in-house learning, and a real emphasis on doing things properly rather than rushing cases.

The caseload is broad and engaging, covering the full spectrum of first-opinion small animal work. Surgical exposure includes routine procedures, emergency surgeries such as pyometras and foreign bodies, dentistry, wound management, and ongoing access to orthopaedic cases through visiting certificate holders. Diagnostics are well supported with modern imaging, ultrasound, digital radiography, and a well-equipped in-house laboratory.

Vets are actively encouraged to develop their own interests, whether that’s progressing into a senior or clinical leadership role or pursuing further qualifications. If you enjoy mentoring, shaping protocols, or having a real say in how a practice evolves, you’ll be genuinely supported here.

Working pattern
This role offers flexibility and balance, with most vets working 3–4 days per week. The weekend rota is fair and manageable, there are no out-of-hours responsibilities, and bank holiday commitments are minimal. It’s a setup that allows you to enjoy your career without burning out.

What’s on offer
The benefits package has been thoughtfully structured to attract experienced vets and keep them long term:

  • Salary of up to £100,000, dependent on experience and hours worked

  • Outstanding CPD support, including a generous allowance and full backing for certificate study

  • Excellent holiday entitlement, increasing with service, plus an additional paid day off for your birthday

  • Enhanced parental benefits, including maternity and paternity leave

  • Private healthcare access and a contributory pension scheme

  • All professional memberships covered, including RCVS, VDS, and BVA

  • Wellbeing and pastoral support, designed to support both mental and physical health

  • Cycle to work scheme and lifestyle benefits

  • A culture built on trust, respect, and clinical autonomy, where experienced vets are listened to and valued

This is a role where you can earn exceptionally well, practise high-quality medicine, and still have time and energy for life outside of work.
