Emergency Veterinarian Night Shift | Hong Kong
An established emergency and critical care hospital in Hong Kong is looking to welcome an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join their dedicated night team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a vet who enjoys ECC work and thrives in a fast paced hospital environment, managing a varied emergency caseload while working alongside a well supported overnight team.
The Role
This is a night shift position working 8pm to 8am within a busy emergency hospital environment.
You will be responsible for providing emergency and critical care to small animal patients, managing a wide variety of emergency presentations and hospital inpatients throughout the night. The role will involve handling urgent medical cases, performing emergency surgical procedures where required, and collaborating closely with the wider clinical team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Strong communication with both clients and colleagues is essential, along with the ability to remain confident and organised in a dynamic emergency setting.
Overnight Team
The night shift is supported by a structured team including
1 Emergency Veterinarian
1 Registered Veterinary Nurse
2 Veterinary Technicians
This ensures strong clinical support overnight and allows the veterinarian to focus on patient care and case management.
The Hospital
This 24 hour hospital is a well known emergency provider in Hong Kong, seeing a high volume of urgent and referral cases from clinics across the region. The hospital offers excellent exposure to complex medical and surgical emergencies and operates with a highly collaborative team of vets, nurses and technicians.
The clinic is located in a vibrant area of Hong Kong with excellent transport links, restaurants, waterfront walks and easy access to the rest of the city.
Salary and Benefits
Salary is typically in the region of HKD $90,000 to $120,000+ per month depending on experience.
Relocation support is available for candidates moving to Hong Kong. This would not apply to candidates already based locally.
The Candidate
Minimum 2 years experience in emergency veterinary medicine
Confident performing common emergency surgical procedures
Comfortable managing emergency and inpatient cases overnight
Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
Professional, collaborative and committed to high standards of care
