Are You an Experienced Veterinary Surgeon Who Wants to Grow, Learn, and Mentor in a Truly Progressive Practice?
I’m working with a standout opportunity for an Experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is ready to take the next step in their career — not just clinically, but professionally and personally. This is a role for someone who wants to develop, share knowledge, and help shape the future of a high-performing, forward-thinking veterinary team.
Why this role is different
This practice is in the middle of an exciting evolution, with significant investment into advanced clinical facilities, expanded space, and cutting-edge diagnostics — all designed to support excellent medicine and make day-to-day work more enjoyable. Growth here is purposeful: about raising standards, supporting clinicians, and giving vets the tools and time to do their best work.
You’ll be part of a large, collaborative clinical team where open discussion, shared learning, and mutual respect are central. Clinical meetings are meaningful, ideas are listened to, and there is genuine enthusiasm for improving how things are done — from patient care to sustainability and team wellbeing.
The role itself
This position is ideal for an Experienced Veterinary Surgeon with confidence managing their own caseload who enjoys working cases up properly and collaborating across disciplines. You’ll have real scope to develop a special interest, pursue or continue certificate study, and play a hands-on role in mentoring junior vets if that’s something you enjoy.
There is also openness to longer-term progression, including discussions around future leadership or partnership, for the right person and fit.
Working pattern
A four-day week is standard, with a consistent day off. Weekends are shared on a fair rota, and importantly there are no nights or on-call duties, allowing you to maintain a healthy work–life balance while still seeing interesting and varied cases.
Clinical environment
The practice is exceptionally well equipped, with facilities and technology that genuinely enhance clinical decision-making and case management. This includes advanced imaging, comprehensive surgical capability, high-level anaesthesia and monitoring, and dedicated spaces for dentistry, diagnostics, and rehabilitation. Ongoing investment means the environment continues to evolve alongside the team’s ambitions.
What’s on offer
The package is designed to recognise experience and support long-term career satisfaction:
-
Highly competitive salary with additional uplift for certificates or advanced practitioner status
-
Performance-related bonuses
-
Generous CPD budget and paid CPD time, with full backing for certificates

Professional fees covered
-
Enhanced family-friendly benefits, including maternity pay

This is a role where you can feel proud of the medicine you practice, supported by people who want you to succeed, and excited about where your career is heading.
