Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon Role x2

We are pleased to be representing a practice in Dublin which is a state-of-the-art Small Animal Referral Hospital located in North Dublin! They have all the typical mod-cons in a referral hospital allowing in depth case work up on your patients; including Digital Radiography, Endoscopy, Ultrasonography, Laparoscopy, Dentistry services, In-house Laboratory and two Surgical suites with multiparameter patient monitoring.

No two days are ever alike, and you should expect an interesting variety of medical and surgical caseloads. Their brilliant team consists of 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Veterinary Nurses, 3 Animal Care Assistants and 6 Receptionists. They also have certificate holders in ECC and Wildlife, with many of their Vets and Nurses currently studying for certificates in Dentistry, Exotics and Anaesthesia. They have a friendly, hard-working, and fast-paced environment!

The Role

  • They have two amazing opportunities within their hospital

  • Full-time, Permanent contract for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon

  • Full-time, temporary maternity leave cover contract for a Veterinary Surgeon (12 months – from October 2023)

  • These are both full-time positions of 39hours/4 days per week with 1 in 3 weekends. A typical work week would consist of 3 short days and 1 long day. The shift patterns are flexible.

  • There is no Out of Hours with this role.

  • Your responsibilities would rotate between several aspects of the hospital covering consulting shifts, surgery shifts and floating shifts giving all vets and nurses time to work up their cases.

  • The salary for this position is between €45,000-€65,000 depending on experience.
