We are delighted to be working with a Mixed Veterinary Practice based in a small town in County Limerick. The practice was set up in 2020 and has been growing ever since!
Workload:
The percentage large versus small animal workload varies with time of year with typically 60% of the caseload being Large animal based in Spring time, while in the Summertime 60% of the workload is small animal based. However this can be tailored to suit a candidate's preferences.
The small animal work is mainly routine first opinion while the large animal work is 90% dairy based. There is practically no equine work involved in this job. Except for springtime, the out of hours work is generally quiet.
The Team:
At present they have a very young, close knit team. With 1 veterinary nurse and 1 groomer who also does reception duties and the owner is also qualified from UCD and has since done a certificate in Herd health. Most of their clients are quite easy going.
The position would suit experienced or newly qualified vet as good support can be provided.
Hours:
Ideally this will be a Full Time Role, and there is a 1:3 rota with this job.
Benefits:
The salary range would be 45 to 55K depending on experience
