Veterinary Surgeon – Small Animal (GP)

An established small animal general practice in Kildare Town is looking to welcome a Veterinary Surgeon to their team. This is a great opportunity for a vet who enjoys being a true all-round GP, with a good balance of medicine, consults and surgery within a supportive and friendly environment.
This role would suit someone with around 3–5 years’ experience who is confident with routine medicine and surgery and enjoys managing a varied first opinion caseload.
The Role
You’ll be joining a supportive clinic where vets are encouraged to work cases up properly and build strong client relationships. The caseload is varied, covering everything from routine preventative care and consults through to more involved medical investigations and soft tissue surgeries.
Working alongside an experienced practice owner and veterinary team, you’ll have the opportunity to continue developing your clinical skills while maintaining autonomy within your day-to-day caseload.
Working Pattern
The role is full time, typically 5 days per week (40 hours) with standard consulting hours of 9:00am–6:00pm.
The rota includes 1 in 2 Saturday mornings (9:00am–1:00pm consulting) with additional time off built into the rota (1/2 day off every second week) to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

The practice is located in Kildare Town, offering the charm of a close-knit community while still being extremely well connected.
Situated just off the M7 motorway, the clinic is easily accessible from surrounding areas. Naas and Newbridge are both within 15–20 minutes, and Dublin is around 40–45 minutes away, making it a convenient location for commuting while enjoying a quieter lifestyle outside the capital.
