The Role
This position offers the opportunity to deliver comprehensive oncology care while helping shape the continued development of the service.
Key responsibilities include:
Diagnosing and managing a wide range of oncology cases
Designing and administering chemotherapy protocols
Collaborating with surgical specialists on tumour removal procedures
Performing and utilising electrochemotherapy (ECT) for select cancers
Coordinating advanced radiation therapy through partner facilities
Providing palliative care and pain management to support patients and their families
Working collaboratively with specialists across multiple disciplines
Supporting and mentoring interns, residents, and nursing staff
About You
Board-certified or residency-trained in Veterinary Oncology (ACVIM, ECVIM, FANZCVS or equivalent)
Strong clinical expertise and passion for oncology care
Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach
Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for mentoring and teaching
Eligible for veterinary registration in New Zealand
