The Role

This position offers the opportunity to deliver comprehensive oncology care while helping shape the continued development of the service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing and managing a wide range of oncology cases

• Designing and administering chemotherapy protocols

• Collaborating with surgical specialists on tumour removal procedures

• Performing and utilising electrochemotherapy (ECT) for select cancers

• Coordinating advanced radiation therapy through partner facilities

• Providing palliative care and pain management to support patients and their families

• Working collaboratively with specialists across multiple disciplines

• Supporting and mentoring interns, residents, and nursing staff

About You

• Board-certified or residency-trained in Veterinary Oncology (ACVIM, ECVIM, FANZCVS or equivalent)

• Strong clinical expertise and passion for oncology care

• Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach

• Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for mentoring and teaching

• Eligible for veterinary registration in New Zealand
