Veterinary Surgeon
Surgical Bias Opportunity | Northamptonshire

A great opportunity has come up for a Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in surgery to join a well established first opinion practice in Northamptonshire.

This role would suit a vet who is keen to move into a more surgically focused position, with the chance to take real ownership of the surgical caseload. Within the current team, there is no dedicated surgical vet, meaning all surgical cases will naturally be directed your way, giving you the platform to build confidence, expand your skillset, and develop a strong and consistent caseload.

You would be joining a friendly, supportive team with a loyal client base, working in a well equipped environment with access to ultrasound, ECG, dental facilities, in house lab, and separate wards.

The role offers a nice balance, but is ideal for someone wanting to lean more heavily into surgery over time.

The Role

  • Full time position across 4 days, with flexibility for part time if preferred
  • Shared weekends with access to a nearby 24 hour hospital
  • No out of hours

This is a genuinely good setup for someone looking to progress surgically without being thrown in too deep, offering the right level of support alongside autonomy.

Package

  • Competitive salary, up to £70k depending on experience
  • CPD allowance with support for certificates
  • Paid memberships
  • Private healthcare and wellbeing support
  • Generous annual leave with additional benefits
  • Relocation and visa support available if required

This would suit an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is confident in routine procedures and keen to take the next step into a more surgery focused role, within a team that will support and encourage that development.

If you’d be open to hearing more, I can talk you through the setup in a bit more detail, just get in touch by sending your CV via the link or directly to sophie@lloydandcowan.
