Lloyd & Cowan have a fantastic opportunity for a Small Animal Vet with a supportive and patient-focused team based in Wigan. The Practice is modern, purpose-built practice.

This opportunity is ideal for a veterinary professional eager to deliver top-notch care and collaborate within a dynamic practice.

Responsibilities:

  • The new Veterinary Surgeon will complement a team of 5vets, 7 RVNs & support team. The practice seeks a full-time vet working 4 days a week but is flexible regarding hours and rota.

  • There is no OOH commitment and only 1:5 Saturdays required.

  • This busy practice boasts an interesting caseload, ideal for a team player who prioritises patient care and aims to provide gold-standard service.

  • CPD is encouraged and funded, with one Vet currently working towards Certificates in Surgery.

  • Consultations run for 20-30 minutes alongside nurse-led consults, and administration time is built into the daily schedule to ensure a great work/life balance.

  • The nursing team is highly skilled, motivated, and focused on gold-standard patient care, evidence-based medicine, and auditing practices and protocols.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in practice and enjoy collaborating with other vets to generate new ideas.

  • The practice provides the caseload to support personal and clinical development and encourages exploration of individual caseloads, supported by a generous CPD allowance.
