Veterinary Surgeon | New Specialist & Emergency Hospital | Georgia

A growing specialty and emergency group is opening a brand-new 20,000+ sq. ft. specialist and emergency hospital in Georgia in 2026 and is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to help establish and grow its surgery service.

This is a rare opportunity to join the founding team of a new referral hospital and play a key role in shaping surgical services within a collaborative, clinician-led environment.

The Opportunity
Help build and develop a high-level surgery service from the ground up, with input into equipment selection, protocols, case flow, and team structure. You’ll practice referral-level medicine with the autonomy and support to deliver exceptional patient care.

Collaborative Environment
Work alongside board-certified Criticalists, additional Surgeons, an Anesthesiologist, Internal Medicine clinicians, and a large emergency team, allowing you to focus on surgery while patients receive comprehensive multidisciplinary care.

The Role

  • Deliver high-quality soft tissue and/or orthopedic surgery

  • Contribute to surgical protocols and standards

  • Collaborate closely with emergency clinicians and specialists

  • Play a leadership role within the surgery service

About You

  • DVM/VMD (or equivalent)

  • Board-certified or board-eligible (DACVS)

  • Strong surgical and clinical decision-making skills

  • Team-focused and collaborative
