​We are represnting a primarily a mixed practice located in Tipperary. Established over 20 years ago, the clinic has a long-standing history of treating pets and farm animals will all forms of injuries and ailments. Their practice has evolved greatly throughout the years to keep up with ever advancing veterinary technology and services.

As a valued team member you will have the opportunity to improve your skills working alongside their amazing team of certificate holders in a state-of-the-art fully equipped small animal hospital.

The team is made up of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Veterinary Nuses and 2 Animal Care Assistants. They also have an extended team of support staff to make sure that Vets and Nurses can focus on delivering exceptional patient care.

The Veterinary team holds a range of certificates in Small Animal Surgery, Cardiology, Ultrasound and Dairy Herd Health.

The practice offer a range of referral services in various areas including Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Ultrasound and Reproduction. They also offer additional services in Laparoscopic Spays, Canine Health Schemes, Idexx Equipped Laboratory, Canine Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy. They are particularly proud of their specialized services in Canine Reproduction and are passionate about providing a full range of services to ensure a healthy breeding regime in order to produce the next generation of genetically healthy puppies. We are the only veterinary establishment in Ireland offering the service of transcervical insemination using a camera guided scope.

The Role

  • This is a Full-time, Permanent position withthe majority of your workload being Small Animal.

  • A small portion of your role will also involve large animal work with the occasional farm call and OOH work.

  • The typical work week is over 5 days/40 hours  - with a day in lieu given when working any weekends.

  • The OOH Rota is 1 in 6 weekends and 1 night midweek on call.

Applicant Requirements

The suitable candidate must be registered with the VCI and eligible to work in Ireland.

You would also require a full, clean driver's license for the role. A certain degree of experience in small animal surgery and internal medicine is required. Also, a basic level of experience in farm animal practice is required.
