Veterinary Surgeon – Part-Time
I’m currently working with a fantastic small animal practice that’s looking for a part-time Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a permanent role with no on-call and a genuinely flexible schedule—perfect for someone who values stability, teamwork, and a great work-life balance.
You’ll be part of a close-knit team that’s passionate about delivering excellent clinical care and continually developing their skills. An interest in surgery would be beneficial, but it’s by no means essential—what matters most is that you bring enthusiasm, collaboration, and a commitment to great patient care.
The practice is well-equipped, with modern facilities including dental X-ray and a strong focus on fear-free principles and cat-friendly care. You’ll be supported by experienced nurses who run fantastic clinics, and you’ll join a forward-thinking team that values growth, wellbeing, and professional development.
The rota is around 30 hours per week, with 1 in 5 Saturdays and no on-call, thanks to dedicated out-of-hours support. Relocation assistance can be considered for the right person.
You’ll also enjoy an excellent benefits package, including:
-
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (with the option to buy or sell more)
-
An extra day’s leave each year for your first five years
-
Fully funded and encouraged CPD opportunities
-
RCVS, VDS, and membership fees paid
-
Enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption pay
-
Cycle-to-work scheme and subsidised gym membership
-
Mental health and wellbeing support
-
Pension scheme and colleague discounts
If you’re ready to take the next step in your career, working within a supportive team that truly values balance, development, and great veterinary care, I’d love to hear from you.
