A high-performing, referral-led small animal hospital in Galway is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon ready to step into a true leadership position.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a confident clinician who enjoys complex case work, shaping clinical standards, and mentoring a strong team — with clear scope to progress towards Clinical Director in the future.
A certificate (or genuine interest in pursuing one) in Diagnostic Imaging or Dentistry would be a major advantage.
The Practice
You’ll be working in a modern, well-equipped setting with CT, digital x-ray, ultrasound, IDEXX lab, endoscopy, orthopaedics, and a fully fitted dental suite with dental radiography, plus a brand-new surgical extension.
The Role

40 hours per week

Lead from the front clinically while guiding the team day-to-day

Mix of consults, surgery, and more advanced cases

Supportive on-call rota shared across neighbouring sites
The Ideal Candidate

VCI Registered Veterinary Surgeon

Strong background in small animal medicine & surgery

Comfortable handling emergency and complex cases

Natural leader with strong communication skills

Ambition to develop clinically and progress professionally
Salary & Benefits

Up to €85,000 DOE

€1,300 CPD allowance + 5 paid CPD days
