Small Animal Veterinarian – Inner West Sydney
Full-Time or Part-Time Opportunity

Imagine building your veterinary career in one of the most vibrant and desirable cities in the world. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Small Animal Veterinarian to join a progressive, fast-paced practice located in Sydney’s highly sought-after Inner West. This is an exceptional opportunity for a veterinarian looking to grow professionally while enjoying everything Sydney has to offer — world-class beaches, an energetic food scene, beautiful parks, and an unbeatable lifestyle.

Why Sydney?

Working in the Inner West means being surrounded by some of Sydney’s most character-filled neighbourhoods. With outstanding public transport, bustling cafés, green parklands and easy access to the CBD, beaches and harbour, this area offers the perfect blend of city convenience and relaxed Australian living.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a veterinarian with at least two years of experience in small animal practice who is eager to contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment. Whether you are looking for a full-time or part-time role, you will be joining a practice that prioritises high standards of patient care, professional development, and work-life balance.

A full-time role consists of 38 hours across four days per week, with only one weekend per month and minimal after-hours work.

What Makes This Role Exceptional

We believe that great veterinary medicine starts with supporting our people. In return for your passion and dedication, we offer a range of benefits designed to support your growth, wellbeing and career progression.

  • Generous Continuing Professional Development allowance with paid travel for conferences and courses

  • Support for developing clinical interests such as dentistry, ophthalmology or behaviour

  • A genuinely supportive and collaborative team culture

  • Open dog policy – bring your pet to work

  • Excellent public transport access in the Inner West

  • Parking available if you drive

  • Weekly team lunches

  • Wellbeing days designed to help manage stress and maintain balance

  • Regular social events and team activities

  • Sponsorship available for overseas veterinarians seeking Australian Permanent Residency

A Practice That Invests in Excellence

You will be working in a modern, well-equipped veterinary environment that practices gold-standard medicine and is continually striving to raise the bar in clinical standards.

Our facilities include:

  • Ultrasound

  • CT imaging

  • Digital radiography

  • Advanced surgical equipment including Ligasure and Cayman surgical systems

  • A highly trained and capable nursing team who support doctors with clinical duties so veterinarians can focus on patient care

With multiple well-equipped clinics across Sydney’s most desirable locations, we are able to perform the vast majority of procedures in-house. Contracted surgical specialists regularly perform orthopaedic procedures including TTO and MPL surgeries, and our commitment to minimally invasive and laparoscopic procedures allows us to deliver excellent outcomes for patients.

A Team That Feels Like Family

We have built a team culture that is energetic, collaborative and genuinely supportive. Our veterinarians and nurses are passionate about animals, curious about medicine, and always willing to challenge traditional approaches when it benefits our patients and their owners.

Outside the clinic, we value connection and community. Our team regularly participates in social activities ranging from park BBQs and fun runs to larger group trips and celebrations. It’s a culture built on respect, humour, and shared purpose.

Making a Difference

Our work extends beyond the clinic through a charitable initiative that provides medical and surgical care for the pets of people experiencing homelessness. These animals are often the most important companions their owners have, and ensuring they receive treatment regardless of financial circumstances is a mission we take seriously.

We are looking for someone who not only brings strong clinical skills, but also shares our belief that veterinary medicine can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in small animal practice

  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Enthusiasm for learning and professional development

  • A positive attitude and a sense of humour
