We at Lloyd & Cowan are delighted to be working with a practice who is looking for a veterinarian to join their patient care team. They would ideally love a full-time veterinarian but would absolutely consider part-time arrangements. Their ideal candidate would have strong surgical, dental, and ultrasound skills, or an eagerness to learn. Although they are currently exclusive to dogs and cats, they would be happy to expand to include exotics if a veterinarian expressed an interest.

Established in 2013 with the goal of offering the best veterinary care possible for our community. They currently employ two veterinarians but are really a 3-doctor small animal practice. Their veterinarians have been working in the field for 23 years each with the technicians averaging 35 years and the assistants with about 14 years.

They are proud to have a veterinary technician specialist in dentistry. Many of their support staff have been with them for years and turnover is low. Let their talented team of assistants, technicians, and customer service representatives support you in providing excellent patient care for their community.

Impressive views of the Olympic Mountains and pristine waterfront make Port Orchard a picturesque town. They are located on the Sinclair Inlet, a short fast-ferry ride to Seattle. Opportunities abound for boating, water activities, hiking, motor sports, camping, and wildlife viewing in the Olympic Peninsula.

Their progressive compensation model includes competitive base salaries with production compensation opportunities. Plus, no negative accrual.

Experience & Skills Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.

  • State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to their start date.

  • Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.

Benefits:

  • Paid time off including 8-weeks of full-pay parental leave, bereavement to grieve both humans and pets, and time off for new pet adoptions

  • Generously subsidized backup and ongoing care support for children, adults, and pets

  • Continuing education support through free courses, CE credits and paid time off to complete
