The opportunity
A progressive RCVS accredited small animal hospital is growing its day team and is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive, multi disciplinary service with true 24 hour inpatient care covered by a dedicated night team.
About the hospital
Purpose built with digital radiography, ultrasound including echo, video endoscopy gastroscope bronchoscope and rigid scopes, full laparoscopy kit, dental radiography, multi parameter anaesthetic monitoring and tonometry. Gold cat friendly hospital with separate feline facilities. Sustainability focused with recognised environmental accreditation. Regular in house CPD and strong backing for certificates supported by a varied caseload.
Role and rota
- Daytime only with protected rounds and continuity
- FTE 40 hours across four nine hour weekdays plus one weekend in four
- Part time patterns considered across hospital or branch sites to suit interests
About you
- RCVS registered with a minimum of two years UK small animal experience
- Confident with routine surgery and diagnostics and comfortable in a multi vet and occasional sole charge setting
- Strong communicator who values teamwork and clinical excellence
- Caseload can be tailored for those holding or working toward medicine or surgery certificates
Package
- Salary up to £80,000 FTE depending on experience and qualifications
