Veterinary Surgeon – West Sussex
Salary: £50,000 to £70,000 (DOE)
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a passionate and experienced Small Animal Vet to join a modern, supportive practice in West Sussex. This is a friendly and progressive team that values collaboration, clinical freedom, and genuine work-life balance.
The Role:
You’ll join a skilled team of 9 vets and 9 qualified nurses, supported by trainee nurses and a welcoming reception team. The caseload is varied and engaging, giving you the chance to develop your interests while working alongside colleagues with additional certifications and strong clinical experience.
You’ll manage a mix of consultations and surgery, with at least one dedicated ops day per week. The practice encourages vets to follow their cases through, with time to work them up properly and full support for further qualifications or certificates.
About the Practice:
This purpose-built, recently refurbished clinic is fully equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab, and separate wards for dogs, cats and isolation cases. With around 30% insured clients and a loyal client base, you’ll have the facilities and freedom to deliver excellent care every day.
Rota & Flexibility:
The full-time rota is 40 hours per week across 4 days, with one weekend per month (Saturday 9–6, Sunday 10–4). Typical shifts are 8–6 or 10–8, with only one late shift per week. There’s no sole charge and no out-of-hours, and part-time or flexible options can also be discussed.
