We are excited to be working on the recruitment for a brand new referral centre! As the opening date for this new purpose-built hospital approaches, we are looking for several Referral Clinicians in different areas such as:

  • Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging Specialists and Radiologists, including advanced practitioners and residency trained.

  • Veterinary Neurology Specialists and Residency Trained Neurologists and Certificate holders.

  • Soft Tissue Veterinary Specialists and Residency Trained Surgeons and Certificate Holders.

The practice is set to open this Autumn 2023 and will be a large scale, multi-disciplinary referral hospital!

The hospital will be one of the largest in the UK at over 36,000 sq ft, with the capacity to treat up to 10,000 pets per year. From the site there will be specialist led multi-discipline veterinary referrals and a 24-hour emergency care service for pet owners across the Midlands. The site has easy access from the A38 through Longbridge and is part of the West Longbridge regeneration project.

A multi-disciplinary referral hospital needs a strong team of clinicians. Naturally, you’ll work closely with your team ensuring the best clinical outcomes possible. Being part of a new team brings additional exciting challenges too — you’ll have the opportunity to develop the services they offer, as well as being responsible for driving referrals in your area of expertise.

You’ll have the opportunity to be there at the very start of the journey — where together you'll shape an exciting future for both the veterinary centre, and the careers of the people within it. Regardless of your role, each and every member of the team will play an essential part of delivering outstanding care to animals and their owners.

Role Requirements

Essential:

  • RCVS Registered or eligible

  • RCVS, American or European Boarded Diplomate or eligible

  • Previous experience of working in a multi discipline referral hospital

  • Experience in developing and mentoring junior clinicians is desirable but not essential
