The clinic we are working with is a full-service, companion animal veterinary practice that has been serving for over 30 years.
They have an outstanding team of compassionate staff that works hard to meet the unique medical needs of the pets visiting them. From surgical and medical services to dental care and pet wellness, a range of services is offered for cats, dogs, exotic animals such as reptiles, parrots, rodents, hamsters, and other types of companion animals. The veterinarians are dedicated to meeting patients’ specific needs through preventative care, regular exams, surgical procedures, and other medical services.
The hospital is equipped with ultrasound, a surgical suite, digital x-ray, and laser therapy. MLS laser therapy post-surgery is used to help reduce pain and promote faster healing. Most diagnostic services are performed at the clinic using in-house lab equipment, allowing veterinarians to get blood results on the same day. Muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, reproductive, and urinary system X-ray is also conducted for patients.
The Role: They are seeking an enthusiastic Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The ideal candidate is energetic, compassionate, and thrives in a family-oriented practice where the atmosphere is professional and easy-going. Hours: The clinic is open five days a week, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and not open any evenings or weekends. There is a shared on-call arrangement with other clinics in the area, offering a very flexible work-life balance.
Requirements:
Licensed (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in Newfoundland and Labrador
One (1) year experience (preferred)
Experience with exotics (a bonus)
Willingness to perform surgery
