Are you a small animal vet in North East Wales looking to join a Dedicated and Enthusiastic Team!

  • 4 day week, 1:6 weekend mornings with TOIL & No OOHs!

A reputable client is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to complete their team. This presents an exciting opportunity to be a part of an established practice that prides itself on providing exceptional care to their patients. As a Veterinary Surgeon, responsibilities will include operations, inpatient care, consultations, and medical work-ups. They are looking for a happy and enthusiastic individual who will complement their current team of Vets and bring their unique skills to the practice. The ideal candidate will be competent in most general surgical procedures and routine consultations/investigations.

Flexible Rota Patterns to Support Work-Life Balance: The client understands that work-life balance is crucial for their team members to thrive. They offer a flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours, allowing candidates to find a balance that suits their lifestyle at any stage of their career.

  • For full-time positions, they currently work four 10-hour days, but they are willing to consider adjustments for the perfect applicant. Weekends are worked on a rota basis (approximately 1 in 6), with mornings only and time off in lieu. There are no out-of-hours emergency work requirements, but as a hospital, there may be minimal inpatient care duties. The client also welcomes applications for part-time positions.

Join an Established Practice: This reputable practice is a bustling first opinion facility with four branches, offering gold standard first opinion services and boasting an onsite orthopaedic referral unit. Their clinical care standards are top-notch, and they offer referrals in orthopaedic, medicine, and dermatology to local practices. The candidate will have access to a comprehensive range of resources, including a full orthopaedic inventory, endoscopy, video otoscopy, hydrotherapy (including a water treadmill), physiotherapy, acupuncture, and laser therapy, supporting their practice.

A Supportive and Close-Knit Team: The team consists of 13 Vets, including four certificate holders, and a dedicated group of passionate Nurses. They have a fully integrated support structure with excellent customer care, administrative team, and animal nursing assistants. The practice believes in creating a happy and progressive working environment where everyone's skills are valued. Whether team members enjoy taking on athletic challenges or have talents like baking, there is something for everyone within this tight-knit team.

Investing in Their Team: This practice genuinely cares about their people and recognizes their importance in their success. They invest in their team members, premises, and processes to ensure a thriving work environment. In addition to a competitive base salary, candidates will receive the following benefits:

  • 6.6 weeks annual leave

  • Private medical insurance

  • Enhanced family-friendly policies, including maternity/paternity/adoption/shared parental and surrogacy pay

  • Cycle to Work scheme

  • Initiatives focused on employee wellbeing

  • Research funding available for all Vets & Nurses

  • £1000 per annum to spend via their Care Fund for all Vets:

  • BVA membership
