Our client who we are delighted to be working with has an opportunity for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their practice in Malpas.

Their well established, experienced team includes 6 vets, 5 RVNs, 2 SVNs and 8 support staff. They provide care to the rural community of Hampton, near Malpas and its surrounding villages. They pride themselves in being able to offer on-site medical consultations, cardiology work ups, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries, and a wide range of nurse led consults.

They are lucky enough to have a wide range of equipment for use within the practice including x-ray, ultrasound, in house lab, bronchoscope and dental x-ray.

They have recently undergone a refurbishment to improve their client waiting areas, providing a separate area for cats and dogs, as well as 5 updated consultation rooms, a new reception and space for administration.

With their wide range of skilled staff, this is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to progress in a supportive practice, or equally would suit an experienced vet wishing to develop their own area of interest.

Ideal Candidate:

They are looking for someone to join our team who is a GP at heart, great communication skills with the wish to add value to the team and provide great client and animal service. In exchange, they offer working hours over 4 days per week, 8am-6pm, and a weekend rota of 1:4 Saturdays, 8:30am-1:00pm. Part time and flexible working patterns happily considered.

This role comes with no OOH’s or bank holiday commitments. Their group hospital at Northwich is dedicated to all out of hour provisions for the group.

In return they can offer the following benefits;

  • An excellent salary – up to £60,000 for an experienced vet

  • 6 weeks holiday entitlement including bank holidays.

  • Workplace pension scheme

  • RCVS membership reimbursed and VDS cover

  • CPD allowance of £1750 (this would increase for a certificate holder)

  • Certificates funded and strongly encouraged

  • Enhanced sick, parental leave, Buy/Sell Holiday, and cycle to work scheme

  • Staff discounts for your pets

  • BUPA and a Healthshield wellbeing programme

  • Life insurance at 1 x Salary

  • Relocation packages available – T&C’s apply
