We are looking for a experienced veterinary surgeon to join a supportive and dedicated team. This position has become available due to the retirement of a valued team member. As such, they want a confident, RCVS-registered veterinary surgeon to join the team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of their cases and close liaison with clients in the busy hospital with a growing referral caseload.
The salary for this role is up to £63,000 depending on experience + up to £3K relocation support + Up to £5k welcome bonus.
Hours:
The normal full time, standard shift pattern involves working a 4-day working week offering various hours, with 1:6 weekend duties & No OOHs!

About the Practice:
They are a progressive, small animal, RCVS-accredited hospital with a significant and growing referral caseload. They have excellent surgical, medical, and diagnostic facilities including in-house MRI, CT, Ultrasound and Xray facilities. High-level inpatient care is maintained by the nursing team providing 24hr coverage at the clinic. While they are very proud of their reputation for providing the highest standards of care, they are more committed than ever to continue to improve the standards of the services we provide.
About the Team:
The team is led by a team of 10 veterinary surgeons, 14 registered veterinary nurses, animal nursing assistants and 12 support staff. They have a range of vets with additional qualifications and certificates and several working towards further qualifications- in the fields of Orthopaedics, Surgery, Internal Medicine and Neurology.
The greatest resource is their staff- their enthusiasm, experience, and ability to work together as a team help provide the highest standard of care.
Less experienced vets are mentored to help support them and develop their professional development. Cases are frequently discussed amongst the whole team and difficult cases often benefit from this multidisciplinary approach. All members of the team are encouraged and supported to develop their own interest area and to progress to certificate
The Ideal Vet:
They would like an experienced and confident veterinary surgeon who is proficient in consultations and surgical skills to join the team. Ideally, the candidate will have additional qualifications and skill areas, however, all experienced applicants will be considered.
