We are working with a well established, independent, vet led small animal hospital in Kildare that is looking to add a Veterinary Surgeon to their close knit team.
This is a genuine first opinion role within a 2.5 vet setup, offering strong clinical autonomy, a varied caseload and the ability to work cases up properly rather than referring by default.
The Practice
Established over 20 years ago, this accredited small animal hospital has built a strong reputation locally and maintains a loyal client base. It operates with a true community ethos and a clear focus on quality clinical care.
The practice is well equipped with:
- In house laboratory
- Digital CR radiography
- Dedicated dental suite
- Ultrasound
- Hydrotherapy
- Laser therapy
- Ovacyte
- Microscopy
The caseload is broad, ranging from routine GP work to more involved medical investigations and surgical procedures. There is real scope to develop your own interests and take ownership of cases within a supportive environment.
The Role
- Companion animal only
- Part of a 2.5 vet first opinion team
- Flexible working hours
- Saturday mornings on rota and no out of hours
- Option for part time if preferred
You’ll be supported by an experienced nursing and support team, allowing you to focus on clinical standards and client care.
Who This Would Suit
- A confident GP vet comfortable with both medicine and routine surgery
- Someone who enjoys managing a varied first opinion caseload
- A vet who values independence and clinical autonomy
- Experience preferred, but attitude and team fit are key
- Competitive salary, with top salary available for the right candidate
- Long term career prospects within a growing practice
- Profit share and genuine partnership opportunities
- A stable, supportive independent environment
If you’re looking for strong clinical exposure within an independent setting, without corporate structure, this is well worth a confidential conversation. Get in touch to discuss further by sending your CV to Sophie via APPLY.
