Join a purpose-built Small Animal Hospital who are seeking to expand their Veterinary team.
Location:
Limerick is unique in that daily commutes are short. The practice is close to the motorway making easy access to Cork and Galway only 1 hour away, with Dublin only 2 hours away! Their hospital is also a short 20-minute commute from Shannon airport making international travel close to hand. The west coast of Clare is only a 40-minute drive, ideal for wind/kite surfers etc.
The Team:
They are a close-knit team of professionals, made up of 5 Veterinary surgeons, 7 Veterinary nurses and 4 members of Support team. Some of the vets are certificate holders in Small Animal Surgery and Ophthalmology, making their day-to-day caseload interesting and varied. The Clinical Directors are extremely supportive in promoting a friendly working environment with a focus on employee wellbeing and professional development.
The Role:
They are seeking to employ a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join the team.
This is a full-time, permanent position of 40 hours per week over 5 days. There is a rotating 1 in 4 weekend clinic cover that is shared equally amongst all Vets.
Typical shifts would be from 9am to 5pm with the on-call veterinarian for that evening working 11am-7pm.
The On-Call Rota is one weeknight per week plus one in eight weekends.
Salary for this position is up to €60,000 depending on experience level. With the possibility of a relocation allowance for the right candidate if required.
Applicant Requirements:
All applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent qualification and be eligible to register with the Veterinary Council of Ireland. A proficiency in Consult's and surgery is essential.
The suitable candidate must have confidence in sole charge and have experience in first opinion practice.
