Registered Veterinary Nurse
Small Animal Hospital | Lincoln
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a well-established, purpose-built small animal hospital in Lincoln that is genuinely known for looking after its nursing team.
This is a practice where nurses are listened to, supported and encouraged to build long-term careers. The team is now looking to add an RVN to their close-knit nursing group, and this would suit someone who enjoys working within a positive, collaborative environment and takes real pride in delivering high standards of patient care.
The Practice
You’ll be based in a modern, purpose-built hospital with excellent facilities and access to a broad, interesting caseload. The site is one of the newer hospitals within the group and has been designed with clinical workflow and patient care in mind, giving teams the tools and space they need to work cases properly.
Colleagues across the hospital have a wide range of interests and specialities, with many working towards certificates, creating a strong learning environment and exposure to advanced medicine and surgery. The team is known for being friendly, welcoming and supportive, with a real sense of camaraderie.
The Role
This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week with a 1 in 4 weekend rota. The role offers a varied hospital-level caseload, including inpatient care, theatre support, anaesthesia monitoring, nurse consults and supporting medical and surgical cases.
Team & Working Culture
One of the biggest selling points here is the team culture. New starters are made to feel welcome, nurses are encouraged to get involved, share ideas and develop areas of interest, and there is a genuine focus on teamwork rather than hierarchy.
You’ll be working alongside experienced veterinary surgeons, many of whom hold certificates or advanced practitioner status, alongside a strong mix of experienced and developing nurses. Several team members are currently undertaking further qualifications, reflecting the hospital’s commitment to progression.
Facilities & Clinical Exposure
The hospital is exceptionally well equipped, offering excellent exposure for RVNs who enjoy advanced nursing and developing their skillset. Facilities include multiple consultation rooms, several operating theatres, a dedicated dental suite, ultrasound, advanced imaging including CT, separate dog and cat wards, and well-designed prep and recovery areas.

- Salary up to £32,000 DOE.
- CPD allowance with genuine support for development.

- long-service recognition.
