We are looking for an experienced OOH vet to work a week of nights and a weekend, followed by 2 weeks off on a 1 in 3 rota, based in Northern Ireland.

The practice is a progressive RCVS Accredited practice with 11 Small animal vets split over 4 sites. Excellent surgical, medical and diagnostic facilities in house, performing complex orthopaedic, soft tissue and medical procedures.

Situated in beautiful rural Mid Ulster with easy access to the north, east and west coasts. They have a large and growing caseload, see many major trauma cases and refer little. The OOH team see a wide variety of emergency conditions, vet is fully supported with an on-site nurse 24/7.

They also have a range of vets with additional qualifications and several working towards certificates. You will be joining a great team and great vision for providing excellent service to their patients and clients whilst accommodating and normalising a work life balance for the team. Certificates are fully supported and encouraged.

  • This new position is immediately available.

  • Experience – you will ideally have two years + small animal experience with certificate or keen to attain one.

Rota Options:

  • Cover 1 week of nights + 1 weekend, then 2 weeks off as a full time employed position.

  • Cover Small Animal OOH rota 1 weekend in 3 as a part time position, no weekday/night work (see other ad).
