About:

We have an exciting opportunity available for a new or recently graduated Vet to join an expanding team on the beautiful South Wales coast. The practice works out of a high quality hospital premises in Bridgend, and are committed to excellent clinical care and extremely high standards. They have silver level cat friendly status from the ISFM and have been awarded “outstanding” in 5 separate RCVS awards.

The Role:

  • The practice have extensive experience of employing new or recent graduate Vets and giving the support & development opportunities that are above market - including potential enrolment to a great gradate program.

  • With the assistance of their fantastic and diverse team of nurses, support colleagues, and Vets (including advanced practitioners in both medicine and surgery), they would relish the opportunity to assist you in developing your skills and grow your confidence within the profession, allowing you to flourish.

  • This ideally would be a Full Time position, with a favourable rota of 4 Days & a 1:12 OOH rota. (Whilst on-call, you will always have the full support of one of the friendly senior Veterinary clinicians, who will be there to advise and help you with anything that you may need).

  • The job currently involves a varied mixture of consulting, medical investigations, and surgical caseloads. Vets generally have 1 full operating day a week and 3 days of consulting, operating, and procedures.

  • The hospital is situated in Bridgend, which is nestled between the bright lights of Cardiff to the East, and Swansea to the West, the rugged Brecon Beacons to the North, and the award winning beaches to the South. So, whether it’s a night on the tiles or a day spent hiking or surfing, this area really does have it all.

  • The Welsh have a great word called ‘hiraeth,’ which translates in English to a deep longing for home, and it is easy to understand why the Welsh always return home.
