New or recent Graduate Veterinary Surgeon
Abingdon, Oxford and Newbury
Their established and friendly practices in Abingdon, Oxford Botley Road and Newbury are looking for an enthusiastic new or recent graduate (up to 2 years qualified) Veterinary Surgeon to join their multi-site team! You will have the opportunity to spend time at all 3 practices, splitting your time evenly between the sites or if you have a preference for one location we can make that work as well.
The role and what they can offer:
•    Salary ranging from 36 – 40K per annum dependent on skills and experience 
•    4 day week with no on call
•    No cap CPD funding
•    All VDS/RCVS paid for along with certificates encourage and funded by the practices
•    Individual senior partner mentoring to develop your surgical skills

Skills:

Enthusiastic new or recent graduate that really wants to develop themselves into an excellent medic/surgeon or both! We have certificate holders in both medicine and surgery so are keen to train their next set of young vets

Surgery equipment:

Everything including extras such, diathermy machine/ligasure at each site, key hole laparoscopy kit, arthroscopes, two extra high grade ultrasound machines for imagining and orthopaedic equipment for all fracture and cruciate repairs (TTA/TPLO). ECG and multiparameter monitoring units for anaesthesia. They have the lot.

Team size, JVP's & qualifications:

Across their 3 practices you will be joining a team of 8 veterinary surgeons (including 3 Partners), 9 qualified nurses, 3 student nurses, 4 VCA’s, 7 receptionists, and their very own practice manager. They are led by their fantastic Partners; Joe Binfield BVetMed PGCert (Small Animal Surgery) MRCVS, RCVS Recognised Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery GPAdvCertSAOS (Advanced Orthopaedic Surgery) with special interest in small animal orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery including cruciate, fracture repair, keyhole & airway surgery (BOAS) and Daniel Preece BSC (Hons) BVetMed (Hons) MRCVS recently passed post graduate BSAVA in small animal internal medicine – clinical interest in intensive care, acute medicine and soft tissue surgery.
