This is a new role, in addition to practice's current rota, so they would be able to give you the support you need to build your confidence as you start in your new career!
The Role:
You would be mainly based at their Thetford branch, working 4 days a week (36 hours). Once you have found your feet, it would be discussed in regards to your inclusion into the OOH rota (approximately 1 first and 1 second on call in 10, always with a second on call Vet as back up). They have branches in Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds and Thetford, all well-equipped and with friendly and supportive teams.
The practice believe their greatest asset is the people who work there – they support each other and everyone is valued and listened to – they love to hear ideas from the teams on how they can grow and evolve the clinical practice. They encourage further study, and have 4 vets who either have, or are working towards, certificates in their chosen subjects (medicine, feline medicine, emergency and critical care and ophthalmology) and all enjoy helping each other out with clinical cases.
As you will be part of a Graduate Development Programme, you will be able to embrace a blended learning approach of training days, in-house mentoring, CPD and clinical practice, creating a varied platform for you to grow and develop as a Veterinary Surgeon. You will be offered both supportive 1-to-1 and group mentoring sessions, for engagement and interaction, as you develop an invaluable skillset. From surgical/medical experience, to enjoying teamwork, providing refined customer service and gaining business knowledge to support the security of great patient care.
