The clinic is a well-established veterinary practice located in the picturesque county of Donegal, Ireland. Established in 1954, within an old building which has been converted into a modern, fully equipped veterinary hospital. They became the first accredited small animal hospital in the North West in 2002 and are also a recognised nurse training centre. With six vets, four nurses, a 24 hour emergency service, and state of the art facilities and the back up of their great admin staff.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join this team of dedicated professionals in the heart of Donegal. This role offers the opportunity to work in a mixed practice environment, with a primary focus on small and farm animal. While equine experience is advantageous, it is not a requirement, and we are open to considering candidates who are primarily small animal-focused.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive veterinary care to both small, farm and some equine work.
Participate in the out-of-hours (OOH) rota on a 1:5 basis.
Collaborate with their experienced team of vets to deliver high-quality care.
Requirements:
VCI registered
Mixed practice experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Willingness to participate in the equine caseload, if necessary. (only a very small amount)
Strong communication skills and a passion for animal welfare.
Flexibility in work hours and the ability to be on the OOH rota.
