Mixed Veterinary Surgeon
Isle of Wight
Flexible Role in a Progressive Coastal Practice

Generous Salary DOE | 3–4 Day Week Options | Supportive Team Environment

We are pleased to present a unique opportunity for a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join a forward-thinking practice based on the beautiful Isle of Wight.

This is a flexible role designed to suit vets looking to balance small animal and farm work while enjoying an exceptional lifestyle location.

The Role

You’ll support both the farm and companion animal teams, with flexibility to shape your working week (3 or 4 days available) alongside a quiet 1 in 4 farm out-of-hours rota.

The caseload includes:

  • Proactive herd health, fertility work, and consultancy

  • Beef and sheep enterprises, alongside goats, camelids, and occasional pigs or poultry

  • A varied and busy small animal caseload worked up to a high clinical standard

  • Opportunities to deliver farmer discussion groups and sustainability-focused initiatives

TB testing support staff are in place, allowing vets to focus on clinical and advisory work.

The Practice Environment

You’ll be joining a collaborative team of 12 vets with a wide range of interests and specialisms. Clinical freedom is actively encouraged, with excellent facilities including DR, ultrasound, and dental radiography, plus support to explore individual passions or develop niche areas.

The practice has a strong focus on sustainability, preventative medicine, and knowledge-sharing with clients through regular meetings, training sessions, and farm visits.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience

  • Flexible working pattern (3–4 day week considered)

  • Generous CPD support and encouragement to pursue areas of interest

  • Well-supported farm rota (currently 1 in 4 and typically quiet)

  • Opportunity to shape services and build lasting client relationships

This role is ideal for a mixed vet seeking genuine variety, clinical autonomy, and a lifestyle-focused position within a supportive, progressive team.
