An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Small Animal Veterinarian looking to relocate to Australia. Join a welcoming and supportive clinic in Lidcombe, Western Sydney, and enjoy a balanced lifestyle while developing your clinical skills in a well-equipped practice.
Located within a busy shopping centre with excellent access and parking, this modern clinic operates Monday to Saturday, 9:00am – 5:30pm, allowing for a healthy work-life balance with no Sundays, no public holidays, and no after-hours work.
You will be joining a friendly, experienced team supported by a knowledgeable practice manager and senior nursing staff. The clinic features a spacious reception area, two consultation rooms, a sterile operating theatre, digital X-ray, dental X-ray, and in-house pathology equipment. Visiting medical and surgical specialists regularly attend the clinic, and strong referral relationships with nearby hospitals allow a wide range of cases to be managed collaboratively.
The Role
This position would suit a veterinarian who enjoys both consulting and surgery and values working in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing medical cases from consultation through to diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up

Performing routine and non-routine surgical procedures according to your experience

Building strong relationships with clients through clear communication and compassionate care

Maintaining high clinical standards and continuing to develop your professional skills

Contributing positively to the clinic team, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues

Assisting with the continued growth and success of the practice

Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants should have:

A recognised veterinary degree eligible for registration in Australia

Minimum 3 years’ experience in small animal practice

Experience in both medical case management and routine surgery

Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach

A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working within a team
Visa sponsorship can be provided for overseas-qualified veterinarians whose qualifications are recognised in Australia, or who have successfully completed the Australasian Veterinary Examination (AVE), including the practical component.
