Mixed Veterinary Surgeon – Co. Wicklow

Looking for a new adventure in Ireland? This well-established mixed practice in Co. Wicklow is seeking a veterinary surgeon to join their supportive team. With three sites based across Wicklow, the caseload is varied and engaging — roughly 60% small animal and 40% farm, though the split can be tailored to your interests. No equine work involved.

Experience is welcomed, but support is available for vets earlier in their careers, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to consolidate their skills in a friendly, progressive environment.

What’s on offer

  • A 4.5-day working week with an excellent work-life balance
  • Shared 1 in 8 rota (all year round) with accommodation provided when on-call
  • Modern facilities including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, and full lab equipment
  • Generous CPD allowance and career progression opportunities
  • A supportive, enthusiastic team where collaboration is key

Location perks
Situated just 40 minutes south of Dublin, you’ll have the Wicklow Mountains and the coastline on your doorstep — perfect for making the most of your downtime, whether you prefer hiking, exploring, or relaxing by the sea.

Benefits

  • Enhanced annual leave
  • Paid VCI/VDS plus an additional professional membership
  • Generous CPD allowance
  • Employer pension contributions
  • Paid charity day
  • Colleague discounts
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity & adoption leave

If you’re a mixed vet looking for a flexible role with genuine work-life balance, or you’re considering a move to Ireland and want a supportive practice to settle into, this could be the perfect fit.
