We’re working with a well-established, community-focused veterinary hospital in Kilkenny that is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon (full-time or part-time) to join their supportive and collaborative team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced small animal vet who enjoys a varied first-opinion caseload and wants to be part of a respected practice with strong local roots and professional development support. The hospital is accredited, part of a larger network, and committed to delivering high-quality care for companion animals across Kilkenny and the wider region.
The Role
As a Veterinary Surgeon you’ll manage a broad range of small animal work — from consultations and diagnostics to surgery and routine procedures. You’ll be supported by a skilled team of vets, nurses and support staff who work together to provide personalised care for every patient. There is no requirement for overnight care on site.
Why This Role Stands Out
This practice has been trusted by families and farmers for decades and combines modern facilities (including an in-house lab, separate dog and cat wards, surgical suite and full diagnostic capabilities) with a genuinely team-oriented culture.
You’ll benefit from being part of a network that prioritises professional development and access to excellent CPD opportunities through their network, as well as strong mentorship and peer support.
