We're seeking a passionate and experienced generalist vet to join a busy and supportive mixed practice based in stunning Wanaka, Central Otago. The Role:
This full-time position (minimum 32 hours per week, including a shared Saturday and on-call roster) offers a fantastic variety of work. You’ll support the local farming community with sheep and beef work, contribute to a growing equine ambulatory service, and also deliver gold-standard care to companion animals.
You'll be part of a close-knit team committed to clinical excellence and community care, with an on-call roster designed to protect your work-life balance - typically just one weekend in five.
About You:
- MUST be eligible for registration in New Zealand
- 3+ years of experience in mixed practice
- Confident in both large and small animal medicine and surgery (including sole charge when needed)
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- A team-oriented attitude and a passion for delivering high-quality care across species
