I’m delighted to share an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving, well-equipped small–animal clinic in the Coolock area. This role is ideal for a confident clinician who enjoys balancing hands-on veterinary work with meaningful leadership responsibilities.
You’ll be stepping into a purpose-built facility featuring dedicated dog and cat wards, a surgical theatre, digital diagnostics, a dental suite, and a calm, welcoming reception area. The team is committed to low-stress handling and creating a supportive, collaborative environment where excellent care comes naturally.
As Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you will be central to shaping the clinic’s culture, guiding clinical standards, mentoring the team, and ensuring the smooth running and ongoing success of the practice. You’ll work closely with regional support partners but have true autonomy to lead your clinic with vision and purpose.
In this position, you will:

Provide day-to-day leadership and cultivate a positive team culture

Support and mentor vets, nurses, and clinical staff to grow and excel

Ensure high clinical standards and regulatory compliance

Lead by example in case work-ups, surgery, and client communication

Play a key role in the clinic’s operational and commercial performance

Promote preventive health care and maintain strong client relationships

Drive engagement, development, and wellbeing across the whole team
