About:

Lloyd & Cowan are pleased to be working with ​an established three consult room small animal practice set up in 2021 to provide care for all of the dogs within their charity organization.

The practice currently provides veterinary services for all of the dogs in the care of the Charity (approximately 135) from our two rehoming centres. There intent is to establish a limited external client base in the future which will be a mix of their adopted dogs and those in the local community with pets such as dogs, cats and small furries.

The Role:

  • We are looking to recruit a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join this amazing team and would consider locum and permanent candidates.

  • They currently operate on a 30 hour per week over three days shift pattern (8am-6pm) and with two teams (one vet, one RVN per team) cover Monday to Friday – one team works Monday to Wednesday and the other Wednesday to Friday.

  • At present there is no weekend shift and our OOH support is provided by a 3rd Party Practice.

A bit more about the Clinic:

  • The clinic is superbly equipped and has a theatre, prep room, 3 consult rooms, cat recovery ward, dog recovery ward, x-ray room with digital x-ray equipment), a dental room with digital x-ray equipment, a dedicated reception area, laundry/autoclave room and a vet office.

The Ideal Applicant :

  • You must be RCVS registered or meet the requirements to do so

  • Ideally you will be an experienced Vet with over 4 years experience in the UK, with leadership & management skills to continue to add to the success of the practice.
