The Role

As Lead Veterinarian, you will combine clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities, guiding a team of veterinarians and nurses while helping establish best practices, workflows, and a positive team environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and mentoring the veterinary and nursing team

  • Delivering high-quality consultations and patient care

  • Performing a range of procedures, including surgery and dentistry

  • Overseeing case management with a strong evidence-based approach

  • Supporting and developing team members through coaching and guidance

  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships

  • Contributing to the development of clinical protocols and standards

  • Supporting efficient workflow and hospital operations

  • Administering medications, anaesthesia, and diagnostics

  • Ensuring compliance with animal health regulations and safety standards

About You

  • Registered with the relevant Veterinary Board

  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

  • Several years of clinical experience, with leadership capability or readiness

  • Confident working both independently and as part of a team

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities

  • Passion for high standards of patient care and continuous improvement
