The Role
As Lead Veterinarian, you will combine clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities, guiding a team of veterinarians and nurses while helping establish best practices, workflows, and a positive team environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and mentoring the veterinary and nursing team
Delivering high-quality consultations and patient care
Performing a range of procedures, including surgery and dentistry
Overseeing case management with a strong evidence-based approach
Supporting and developing team members through coaching and guidance
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Contributing to the development of clinical protocols and standards
Supporting efficient workflow and hospital operations
Administering medications, anaesthesia, and diagnostics
Ensuring compliance with animal health regulations and safety standards
About You
Registered with the relevant Veterinary Board
Bachelor of Veterinary Science or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Several years of clinical experience, with leadership capability or readiness
Confident working both independently and as part of a team
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Passion for high standards of patient care and continuous improvement
