The Role
As Lead Veterinarian, you will combine clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities, guiding a team of veterinarians and nurses while helping establish best practices, workflows, and a positive team environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring the veterinary and nursing team
- Delivering high-quality consultations and patient care
- Performing a range of procedures, including surgery and dentistry
- Overseeing case management with a strong evidence-based approach
- Supporting and developing team members through coaching and guidance
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Contributing to the development of clinical protocols and standards
- Supporting efficient workflow and hospital operations
- Administering medications, anaesthesia, and diagnostics
- Ensuring compliance with animal health regulations and safety standards
About You
- Registered with the relevant Veterinary Board
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
- Several years of clinical experience, with leadership capability or readiness
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Passion for high standards of patient care and continuous improvement
