Veterinary Surgeon
Small Animal Hospital | Berkshire / Surrey Border

I’m working closely with a large, well established small animal hospital in the Berkshire / Surrey region that is looking to welcome another Veterinary Surgeon into the team. I know the hospital and leadership team well and it’s a genuinely progressive environment where vets are supported to develop and pursue their interests.

This is a true hospital setting, offering exposure to a varied and interesting caseload with the facilities and team in place to work cases up properly rather than referring everything onwards.

Facilities & Clinical Exposure

One of the major highlights of this hospital is their new in house CT suite, giving the team access to advanced diagnostic imaging and allowing cases to be investigated and managed internally.

You’ll be working alongside certificate holders across a range of disciplines, with a very experienced nursing and support team around you. The setup allows vets to enjoy a nice mix of consulting, surgery and more complex medical work, with plenty of opportunity to build confidence and clinical depth.

The Team

The hospital has a large veterinary team, including several vets currently working towards certificates. It’s a collaborative environment where case discussion and shared learning is very much encouraged. The nursing team are also highly skilled, meaning vets are well supported day to day.

Location

The hospital is located in a very accessible part of the South East, within easy reach of major towns in Berkshire and Surrey, with straightforward transport links into London. It offers a great balance of being close to city life while also having green space and countryside nearby.

The Role

  • Full time or part time considered
  • Hospital environment with strong diagnostic support
  • Mix of consults and surgery with exposure to more advanced cases

Salary & Package

  • Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience
  • Generous CPD and certificate support
  • Funded professional memberships
  • Supportive management and structured development
  • And more...

This is a great opportunity for a vet looking to step into a hospital environment and develop their clinical interests, particularly if diagnostics, imaging or surgery are areas you’d like to build further experience in.
