Our client is searching for an experienced RVN to join their team as a Head Veterinary Nurse in their busy small animal practice.
About the practice
The busy practice has an abundance of routine surgeries and are always fully booked! They are well equipped with ultrasound, x-rays, i-STAT and blood machine in-house. With opening hours between 08:30-19:00 Monday to Friday and 09:00-11:30 on Saturdays, your rota will be a 4-day week with 1:6 weekends.
Key responsibilities
Leading a team and managing your SVNs/PCAs in practice
Clinical coaching
Nursing/discharge of in-patients, prioritising patient welfare and care
Nurse consultations
Training of junior nurses and supporting students in practice
Supporting with cleaning, stock take, ordering, happy to support with reception if needed
Running in house lab samples and organising repeat prescriptions
Training can be provided in nurse consults and clinical coaching to build confidence in your role. Training also covers building confidence in consulting and supporting our nurses to make nutritional recommendations via our Nutritional Ambassador Programme.
