We have an exciting opportunity for an Experienced, Qualified Veterinarian to join a close-knit team in the NE Melbourne on a full-time basis!

About the Practice:

They are a family-owned, Small Animal practice located in the North East of Melbourne, a short 25 minute drive from the city, with cafes, restaurants and shops within a 1 minute drive from the clinic.

A purpose built animal hospital with a friendly, hard working, supportive work culture in a fun environment. The team comprises of two full time Veterinarians and four Veterinary nurses. And, have on board IM3 Dental equipment, including a new Dental Xray Machine, Digital Radiography, In house Pathology, Ultrasound and Endoscopy and Anaesthesia Monitoring equipment! They also work closely with Veterinary Specialists and Mobile Veterinary Surgeons to ensure we provide a high standard of care to our clients and their pets.

A busy clinic with a varied case load, which offers many opportunities for a range of cases for advanced soft tissue and Orthopaedic surgery, Ultrasonography, Endoscopy and Dentistry. There is also the opportunity for our Veterinarians to learn skills such as Orthopaedics or Ultrasonography should that be an interest!

They place a strong focus on providing the 'EDVH Experience' and their team meets regularly for staff meetings, daily communication rounds, and monthly clinic training in house and though training organisations such as Lincoln Institute.

The Ideal Candidate would:

  • Have exceptional Communication skills both within the team and when communicating to clients

  • Practise a high standard of care and medicine and confidence to work-up cases

  • Demonstrate the ability to work cohesively in a team environment and build strong rapport with our clients!

  • Be highly motivated, have a positive, 'Can-Do' attitude and demonstrate accountability

  • Be motivated and driven to pursue continuing education and attend webinars, conferences and seminars

What's on Offer:

The role would include shared weekends (1 in 3) and one week-day off, no after hours and we are closed on Public Holidays!

You will be supported with a team of skilled Qualified Veterinary Nurses, and junior Work Placement students. The nurses are trained in IV catherisation, blood collection, pathology, anaesthesia monitoring, invoicing and performing post- operative checks, nail trims, dental checks etc.
