**ECC Position**
We are representing a great ECC Practice based in the Galashiels, they are seeking a nurse to look after manning the clinic overnight, caring for inpatients and covering the out of hours emergency and critical care for a number of practices within the area.
They are a small, supportive, experienced and hardworking team. You will be the sole nurse on duty with a veterinary surgeon, so you would need some experience and confident to work alone although good support is available. The role requires close cooperation and effective communication within the team and the wider Galedin team as well as neighbouring practices.
The Hours:
Full time will average around 41 hours per week with 6 weeks holiday.
They work in an annualised hours rota system which means you will be required to cover some weekend days and nights (maximum of 2 out of 3 weekends) as part of your rota and you will be needed to cover a share of Christmas and New Year bank holidays.
Night shifts are from 6pm to 8.30 am and weekend days from 12 noon Saturday and 8am Sundays finishing at 6.30pm.
Although often busy, there are occasional opportunities for rest, study and breaks and time off between runs of shifts to recover.
