Are you an experienced Vet who is looking for the next step in their career and interested in sharing knowledge with those just starting in the Vet world? If so, there is a new opportunity as a Clinical Lead in Glasgow!

The Role:

  1. They are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon who ideally has 4+ years' experience working in Small Animal practice

  2. Possesses solid surgical skills, and the desire to lead the team clinically as the new Clinical Lead.

  3. This position will be fully supported by their Practice Director who has over 18 years of clinical experience and has run the practice since it opened in 2011.

The Team:

  • The team is currently made up of 4 FT vets, 2 FT RVNs, 2 PT RVNs, 1 Practice Manager, and 3 receptionists, which they find is the perfect balance for ensuring breaks and time in the diary to catch up on admin.

  • Ideally, they are looking for a full-time Clinical Lead working around 35 hours per week, with 1 in 3 Saturdays, however, they are open to discussing hours for those interested in a part-time opportunity.

The Practice:

  • To support all of this, they have excellent facilities and equipment within the practice, including a full in-house Lab (Lasercyte and Catalyst), an oxygen chamber, ultrasound, digital x-ray, and many more.

  • They are also about to add to their services with a Tonometer later this month, December, ready for the new year.

  • They work on 15-minute consults, with regular time blocked out to catch up on paperwork.

  • In addition, they also set aside time for lab results, repeat prescriptions, and vet discharge appointments to ensure that no one gets behind and can leave on time at the end of the shift, valuing personal life outside of work.

  • Nurses also conduct daily consults in practice to assist the vets, including 2nd vaccinations, microchips, bandage checks, just to name a few.

On Offer:

  • Paid one-hour lunch break, access to a colleague food pantry

  • an extra day off for birthdays

  • private healthcare contribution

  • Salary in the region of £55-£65k per annum.

  • Generous CPD Allowance
