We are working with a small animal practice based in Tyne & Wear who are expanding and looking for an additional veterinary surgeon to join their team.
The Practice:
The practice has modern diagnostic facilities to help treat and monitor pets from digital radiography, a new Ultrasound machine, dental radiography, in house laboratory and have recently started performing laparotomy spays. You would be joining a team of 4 veterinary surgeons who love to support and mentor and a highly experienced team of 5 RVNs, soon to be 7.
The role:
You will be working alongside the team as a small animal vet, with a mix of consults and surgeries, they will try to favour your preferences.
If you are more surgical bias, then laparoscopy training is available, if desired
If you have an interest in Ultrasound the team are actively encouraging this area, and supporting further training
The practice offers emergency care throughout the day but there is no OOHs, so you will still get to see an emergency caseload.
Hours:
Ideally you will be able to work full time, however part time and flexible working hours can be arranged.
Full time would be 40 hours of 4 days each week.
No OOHs
Only a 1:4 Saturday 9am-3pm

Salary ranging from £43,000-£60,000
6.6 weeks’ holiday per annum, inclusive of any bank/public holidays.
CPD allowance of £2,500 per annum, with further qualifications supported and 5 CPD days
