Here at Lloyd & Cowan we are thrilled to be working with a practice who have an exciting opportunity that is available for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their fantastic team. They are passionate about delivering a high level of patient care and clinical standards, with a well-equipped practice including new ultrasound, digital radiography and Idexx lab on site. Some of your day-to-day duties will include performing first opinion consults and surgical procedures, maintaining clinical standards and adopting practice policies and engaging with the wider clinical team.
Working hours:
They are happy to accept both full/part-time applications for this role, working an average of 38 hours per week between 9 am-7 pm, with no weekend or out of hours work.
Salary:
Salary up to £65,000 (subject to experience) + benefits
About them:
This practice was first established over 10 years ago in a small building in the heart of Newport as a vaccination only clinic offering care to pets at a low cost. As time passed, the demand for first opinion consultations and preventative healthcare was key in helping them to develop and drive the practice forward. They now boast 6 branches across the South Wales region offering first opinion consultations, preventative healthcare such as neutering and parasite control, orthopaedics and complex medical cases, a dedicated exotic clinic with a certificate holder in exotic medicine having a great and loyal client base!
Applicant Requirements:
Their ideal candidate will be experienced in routine surgery, and routine and emergency first opinion consultations. They will be a confident vet who is ready to take the next steps in their career.
